Now, for Logitech Media Server, there's a few dockers out there, here's one I found in the 2 seconds I spent looking: Then install Docker following these instructions: If you mess things up, it's a minute to reload it. $5 gets you a disposable box with a VERY high speed internet connection and more than enough resources to learn Docker on.

I'd recommend standing up a VM somewhere like Digital Ocean to learn on. But swaping in and out SD cards and keeping track of what is on each SD card is a real hindrance. Every now and then I power it down to tinker with HomeAssistant. YUNOHost is also on my list of things to try out, but again I don't have a spare Pi at the moment to run it on and I don't want to power down my Pi that is acting as my Logitech Media Server.

My limitations that hold me back are normally a lack of SD cards and Spare Pi computers. Owncloud/NextCloud would probably be something I would like to run in the future. Also it's easier to save a machines state and back it up or move it somewhere else if it is running as a virtual machine(?) I understand that by using a virtual machine, you can turn the machines on and off as you need them.

I'm happy to keep the Pi Zeros but consolidating the music server it's self on to a virtual machine would seem to make sense to me. I use PiCorePlayer running logitech media server as my music server and then it 'casts' the music to a number of Pi Zeros. Is there a simple docker project I could undertake so that I could learn more? From my understanding it doesn't looks simple to use. Please feel free to enlighten me about Docker. I don't yet understand Docker all though I do hear it mentioned a lot.
